J. Cole Announces "The Off-Season" Album

J. Cole is back!

It's been three years since his last solo album (2018's "KOD") and the Dreamville boss is not making fans wait much longer for new music as he announced "The Off-Season." The project, Cole's sixth studio album, is due out May 14.

"The Off-Season" cover art features a burning basketball hoop and continues Cole's basketball narrative that he's woven into his projects. "The Warm Up," "Friday Night Lights" and "Cole World: The Sideline Story" all had basketball imagery as key elements of the cover art. The North Carolina native has been a master of sports references as he propelled his way to the top of the rap game.

Read an analysis of J. Cole's basketball narrative through his music over at the Los Angeles Times.
